Turbulence and its impact on Class 0 stage protostellar disk formation
The question at which stage of star formation rotationally supported disk are formed is currently a highly debated topic and investigated by means of numerous observations and numerical simulations. Even with the advent of ALMA observations do not yet yield an uniform picture about the actual stage of protostellar disk formation. On the other side, after a decade of intense numerical research about protostellar disk formation a scenario how disk can form even in the presence of strong magnetic fields seems to emerge. In my talk I will in detail discuss how turbulence enables the formation of protostellar disks and thus contributes to the solution of the long standing "magnetic braking problem".
