Research Interests
My current research project studies the formation of low-mass stars with emphasis on the impact of outflows on the chemical and physical evolution of protostars. The project consists of observations in both the sub-millimeter (e.g. PdBI and SMA) and the far-infrared (e.g. Spitzer & Herschel) tracing molecules in the immediate surrounding of young stellar objects. The main purpose of the projects is to study the importance of outflows on the dense material surrounding low-mass protostars – in particular, to constrain what fraction of envelope material is heated and dispersed by the outflows.
Another research related interest is scientific analysis in the programming language Python.
